A very chauvanistic comedy where a former baseball star
buys a tavern and calls it CHEERS!
Starring in this first season: Ted Danson, Shelly Long, Nicholas
Colasanto, Rhea Perlman, John Ratzenberger & Geoge Wendt(NORM)!
This has one of the greatest theme songs in all of TV!!
I probably will never buy the rest of the series because, as I
remember, it got a little old after a while!

This introduces Sam, Carla, Coach, Norm & Cliff!
Diane comes in with her fiance and he dumps her! B+

A man comes in with a problem: His son is marrying
a black, man! Sam's trying to prove to Diane that
he doesn't just airheads!!

how to get out of a slump! B+
EPISODE 11: ONE FOR THE BOOK(Dec. 09, 1982):
Diane is writing down tid-bits that people say in the
bar to write a book! Also: an old army dude comes in
for a reunion that his troup does every ten years!

A woman comes into the bar and says that Sam would be great
in commercials!

This is an absolutely horrible episode, probably the
worst of the series! It's all about gay bashing! D-

Diane and Sam set up each other for blind dates! B

Sam enters Diane in the Miss Boston Barmaid contest, much to
her chagrin!

Coach gets conned out of a bunch of money, so Sam goes
to Harry to try to and get the money back!

How on Earth can this only be rated 7.9?! I still
watch it to this day and it doesn't bore me. I love
these characters and feel like I grew up with them.
Interestingly I've noticed over the years that "Friends"
borrowed such a lot of episode storylines that it's
scary they weren't pulled up for it. Long live the
King, long live Sam 'Mayday' Malone!
