LOIS AND CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN(1993) PAGE

LOIS AND CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN(1993) SEASON 1

The first really top notch superhero TV series since, well, The
Adventures Of Superman in 1952(perhaps excepting The Green Hornet)
(My appologies to Wonder Woman, Batman, The Incredible Hulk and
The Greatest American Hero)!!

Starring here are Dean Cain(as Clark Kent/Superman), Teri Hatcher
(as Lois Lane), Lane Smith(as Perry White), Michael Landis(as Jimmy
Olsen), K Callan(as Martha Kent), Eddie Jones(as Jonathan Kent), John
Shae(as Lex Luthor) & Tracy Scoggins(as Cat Grant)!

Everyone does a great job in their roles, with perhaps the
exception of Scoggins! I've never been a fan of hers, not
even when she was on Babylon 5!!

EPISODES 1: PILOT(Sept. 12, 1993):

This first episode, introduces us to most of the main cast, Clark
Kent/Superman, Lois Land, Jimmy olsen, Pery White, Jonathan Kent,
Martha Kent, Cat Grant & Lex Luthor! Again, all actors doing a
great job in their respective roles!

In this first episode/pilot, Lex is trying to make a dent in
the space age by having a space station built(with his name
on it!) to try to to, well, we don't know yet!

There are several libirties taken here, the least of which
not being the fact that Clark does not know Lex before he
shows up in Metropolis! Both Jonathan and Martha Kent are
still alive! Clark still doesn't have his suit at the start
of the series! Et el

Quite a bit of humor here!

This is a TV movie and as such is longer(1 1/2 hours) than the

From another reviewer at IMDb.com:

Dean Cain is nothing less than perfect in the role as Clark
Kent (CK). That goes for Teri Hatcher as well, her portrait
of Lois Lane is just...SUPER!

The different directors and screenwriters have done an excellent
job of bringing Clark Kent back to the screen. The idea of giving
Clark Kent a full background and some real space to act in, is
just ingenious. Lane Smith and Justin Whalin are also worth
mentioning - they are both excellent in their roles as Perry
and Jimmy.

Now, why haven't this fantastic series come out on
DVD?(MY NOTE: THEY HAVE)!! - MartyManiac
