STAR TREK - THE NEW VOYAGES - ENEMY: STARFLEET

STAR TREK: THE NEW VOYAGES:
ENEMY: STARFLEET(2011)

While on an excavation mission, the landing party
is attacked by parties unknown! The Enterprise above
is also attacked by the same unknowns!

This becomes a Federation fighting a Federation ship
story!

This has another new Spock(Brandon Stacey), a new
Chekov(Jonathan Zungre) & a new Sulu(J.T. Tepnapa)!!
If there's one real drawback to these "New Voyages"/
"Phase II" Star Treks, its that there's not much chance
for an actor to get use to their role!! Still, they
seem to come up with pretty decent people for the
roles!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Leonard
McCoy, Captain James T. Kirk, Commander Spock, Lt. Uhura,
Lt. DeSalle, Yoman Rand, Ensign Chekov, Lt. Montgomery
Scott & Lt. Sulu!

Guest starring here, again, is BarBara Luna(Star Trek TOS
episode "Mirror, Mirror") who was also in the TNV episode
"In Harm's Way"!! Also here is Vic Mignognon, who was the
driving force for New Voyage's main competition for the Star
Trek TOS fans with his tribute series, Star Trek: Continues!
He appears for one of three appearances on New Voyage(although
the last one was never produced! A

From an IMDb.com customer:

I just finished watching Enemy: Starfleet, and
what a fun ride it was.

As I sad in my review of the series, each episode
gets more polished than the previous.

Everything about this - from the (HD!) NBC
color peacock opening to the depth of the
script was top-notch.

Ms. Luna certainly gives William Shatner(error here,
Bill was not in this at all! He meant James Cowley) a
run-for-the-money n scene-chewing here. She
has (obviously) a lot of fun making this (her
2nd appearance n the series - so far. Keep
coming back, Ms. Luna!), in which she guest
stars as the villainous Alersa.

really enjoyed the premise: aliens who managed
to acquire a Starship have backwards-engineered
it, and have made a fleet's worth of vessels -
incorporating their technology (and at the same
time, not fully understanding 'ours').

I think that idea alone was interesting enough
that it should be furthered in another episode.

The rest of the episode was pure 'classic' Star Trek.

Each of the main characters grow more comfortable
in their roles with each episode (I know he knows
this himself, but, the resemblance between Brandon
'Mr. Spock' Stacy and Zach Quinto s eerie!).

As Stacy himself said in a Star Trek: Phase II interview
(about getting the role), he wants to give the fans
'what they want' and he also wants to give them a 'good
mix' of 'Nimoy and Brandon Stacy,' which I think he does
quite well.

And I think that can be said for the rest of the main cast
as well.

I know I will continue on Phase II's '5 year mission' - and
if you've not seen t before I recommend t highly. it's
a lot of fun, and you'll feel like you're back with your
old space friends, too. - U.N. Owen
