THE A-TEAM SEASON 4 PAGE

THE A-TEAM SEASON 4

The fourth season that brought Mr. T, Dwight Schultz,
and George Peppard to the forefront of stardom, and
brought back an icon, Dirk Benedict(of Battlestar Galactica
fame)!!

Sadly, these are on double sided discs!! Which means that
you have to be incredibly careful when loading them into
the DVD player as to not scratch the second side!!! A horrible
way to distribute DVDs!!! BOOOOOO!!!

And like the first three seasons, 258,000 rounds of bullets fired,
not one person hit!!!!! LOL!!!!

Again many guest stars in this series, as this was, kind of like
Batman in the 60's, THE show to get your face on!!

EPISODE 1 & 2: JUDGMENT DAY(Sept. 24, 1985):

This was a two part episode, all broadcast the same day!!

Gangster dude's on trial for, well, just about everything!! Dude's
dudes kidnap judge's daughter! In comes the A-Team!

Guest starring as the judge is Dana Elcar(McGyver)!! A

EPISODE 3: WHERE IS THE MONSTER WHEN YOU NEED HIM?(Oct. 1, 1985):

This one has its tongue firmly in cheek! The guys are all filming a
new, improved monster film when they get stopped by the local
thug! Of course, no one stops the A-Team!! A

EPISODE 4: A LEASE WITH AN OPTION TO DIE(Oct. 22, 1985):

A gang is terrorizing Baracas' mom and neighbors and in a fracas
she gets her arm broken! This enrages B.A. and he and crew head
off to solve the problem!!

Guest starring Della Reese(Singer, Touched By An Angel, Chico
And The Man,), and Bryon James(Blade Runner, The Fifth Element,
Enemy Mine, Tango and Cash, Kenny Rogers as the Gambler 2)!! A

EPISODE 5: THE ROAD TO HOPE(Oct. 29, 1985):

A woman says she wants to hire the team for upgrading her
security, but Hannibal thinks it might be a set-up by the Army!
He goes undercover as a wino in and alley, and, well, things
go from bad to worse!!

Guest starring Elisha Cook Jr.(Magnum P.I., The Big Sleep, The
Maltese Falcon, Star Trek: TOS episode "Court Martial")!! A+

EPISODE 6: THE HEART OF ROCK N' ROLL(Nov. 5, 1985):

Some great music and good musicians in this one!! Starts out
with Murdock listening to Heart Of Rock And Roll by Huey
Lewis and the News, goes into Rick Jame in concert, then
heads over to Isaac Hayes!! Isaac plays a man in prison for
manslaughter who's getting released, but just isn't himself!
Rick asks the A-Team to find out what's wrong with his friend!

Other songs include Jailhouse Rock by Elvis! A

EPISODE 7: BODY SLAM(Nov. 12, 1985):

With the last episode having some rock legends, this one heads
to the WWF!!! Hulk Hogan, Bobby Heenan, Big John Studd and
several other wrestlers decorate this episode about a Boy's
Center that's being threatened by gangsters who want the
property that it's on for who knows what!! A

EPISODE 8: BLOOD, SWEAT AND CHEERS(Nov. 19, 1985):

The team is on hand to try to help an old family friend of Smith's
who's in trouble!! He's in a car race that other factions don't want
him in!!

Guest starring Stuart Whitman(Superboy[1988], Cimmeron Strip,
several episodes of Murder She Wrote & Fantasy Island!! A

EPISODE 9: MIND GAMES(Nov. 26, 1985):

Peck gets a "pardon" and it goes to his head!! But the rest of the
crew have their doubts! And there's a General now in charge of
bringing them all in, or his name isn't Harlan "Bull" Fullbright"!

And to complicate the whole thing for Face, there's an Asian
dude who blames him for something and he's also bound
and determined to kill him!!

Guest starring here is David Hedison(Voyage To The Bottom
Of The Sea TV series, Live And Let Die, License To Kill) & James
Hong(4 episodes of McGyver, Big Trouble In Little China, Blade
Runner, 4 episodes of I Spy!, 4 episodes of Hawaiian Eye and
many many other guest TV roles)! A

EPISODE 10: THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD(Dec. 3, 1985):

Another show about singers, this time nobody we know!! She
wants to donate the money she makes from her next album
and the proceeds from the next concert to a war torn country
that's in a war with their next door neighbor!! But the other
side is determined that this isn't going to happen and have
threatened the singer!! In comes the A-Team!! B

EPISODE 11: THE DOCTOR IS OUT(Dec. 10, 1985):

Murdock's psych is kidnapped right in front of his eyes, only
problem is that he gets drugged and is not fully cognizant of
everything going on!! This makes tracking the good doctor
down rather difficult!!

This guest stars Richard Anderson(The Six Million Dollar Man,
The Bionic Woman, Dan August, Perry Mason)!! [Note: This
is NOT Richard Dean Anderson of McGyver fame]!! A

EPISODE 12: UNCLE BUCKLE-UP(Dec. 17, 1985):

This one's about a man who plays a chipmonk on a show about
safety that has enemies that want him off the air, permanently!!!
After his partner, and nephew, gets seriously injured in
an accident intended for him, the A-Team gets involved, with
Hannibal taking over the part of the injured bear, um, nephew!!
Soon enough the team finds out that this is all about the toy
line that's being produced very shoddily!!

Guest starring Arte Johnson(Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In)! B

EPISODE 13: WHEEL OF FORTUNE(Jan. 14, 1986):

With Face's help, Murdock wins big on Wheel Of Fortune!
As one of his prizes, he gets a trip to Hawaii, which of course
Face expects to be part of! When Face shows up to pick up
Murdock with one of his patented scams, he find out that
Murdock has already been taken out of the hospital! The
obvious is that someone else is planning on taking the trip
to Hawaii with him, but it turns out to be that someone
tells him that they need him to help in South America to
teach a dude how to fly!! NOT!!!

Guest stars include Pat Sajak & Vanna White(Wheel Of Fortune)!! A

EPISODE 14: THE A-TEAM IS COMING, THE A-TEAM IS COMING(Jan. 21, 1986):

The team helps a ballerina defect to America from Russia!
This, of course, brings on all kinds of people trying to capture
both her and the team!! A

EPISODE 15: MEMBERS ONLY(Jan. 28, 1986):

Face becomes a member of a very exclusive country club
which eventually leads to finding a counterfeiting ring!!

Guest starring Shecky Greene(stand-up comedian)!! A

EPISODE 16: COWBOY GEORGE(Feb. 11, 1986):

Another musically based episode, this one's about Face
making a deal with, well, just about everyone, about putting
on a concert with "Cowboy George"!! Instead of Cowboy,
they get Boy George!! LOL!!

And in the middle of the whole thing is a bunch of thugs
that all they want to do is rob a bank!!

Some really great music in this, mostly by the Lennon
Sisters! But also by Boy George and Culture Club - "God
Thank You Woman" & their big hit "Karma Chameleon"
are particularly good!!!

Guest starring in this is Boy George(singer) and Johnny
Lee(Country singer - "Lookin' For Love In All The Wrong
Places")!! Unfortunately, Johnny doesn't sing at all in this!! A+

EPISODE 17: WAITING FOR INSANE WAYNE(Feb. 18, 1986):

The boys get involved in a turf war when they pass through
a small town to grab something to eat and get mistaken for
some mercenaries that have been hired by a big bad dude
who's trying to run off another dude that's done a homestead
just off of his property!! When digging for some water, the
guy finds oil, and the bbd wants it!!

Guest starring here is Barry Corbin(The Closer, Anger Management,
Monte Walsh, Who's Harry Crumb, WarGames, The Thorn Birds,
Best Little Whore House In Texes) & Red West(he was in a lot
of Elvis' movies, starting with Flaming Star through Live A Little,
Love A Little[a total of 17 movies!] and The Wild Wild West[35
of these!!])!! A

EPISODE 18: THE DUKE OF WHISPERING PINES(Feb. 25, 1986):

An old flame of B.A.'s is in trouble and asks for help!! He and Murdock
go there to find out what she needs, and find that her husband has
disappeared!! They decide to help, and get into nothing but trouble,
They send for Face and Hannibal, and everything comes down to
gold!! A

EPISODE 19: BENEATH THE SURFACE(Mar. 4, 1986):

And then there's Face and his class reunion!! Here he gets a letter
from an old friend who's in trouble(what else) and needs the A-Team's
help!!

This coulda been a really good episode, but they really screwed
it up with characters that just weren't needed, or fun to watch!! B

EPISODE 20: MISSION OF PEACE(Mar. 11, 1986):

A group running a tourist town is being harassed by a man who
wants the property for his own!! He owns all the surrounding land
and has plans for it!!

Guest starring David White(Bewitched), Nedra Volz(She's been
a guest star on a trillion TV shows, and also was in 10, The Dukes
Of Hazard, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman)! A

EPISODE 21: THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY(Mar. 25, 1986):

Is that he's a drunk!! Pretty simple story really: ex-boxer hates
himself, brings the world down upon him and his loving and
devoted son, has the mob after him, and has gotten into so
much trouble that the only hope left is The A-Team!! This one
is another one of the weaker ones!!

For his second time, Hulk Hogan appears here, as he is there
to talk to B.A. and Hannibal about a part they helped him get!! A-

EPISODE 22: A LITTLE TOWN WITH AN ACCENT(May 6, 1986):

A large oil conglomerate is taking over a bunch of small time
gas stations in a small town!! For what? It seems that a heavy
hitter in the crime world is out to retire, and he's doing all this
just for fun! The A-Team has other ideas!! A

EPISODE 23: THE SOUND OF THUNDER(May 13, 1986):

The general comes to the team with a half-baked
scheme to rescue the man who blamed them for the
robbery in Nam that he was really the one reponsible
for! However, once there, they find that this was
all a ruse to get the team to help find the general's
daughter!

One really glaring fopaux here: Baracus gets on
a plane with no resistance at all!!! LOL!!

This has several "flashbacks" to the teams time in
Nam while playing the song "Eve Of Distruction"
by Barry McGuire which is quite disturbing! This
is a great episode!!! A

Review from IMDb.com:

From another reviewer at IMDb.com:

"A-team"is one of the best tv-series ever. Four
veterans of Vietnam war are wrongfully accused
and now they are outlaws.Peppard is very good
in his role.He plays Hannibal,the leader of the four.
I think is the best role of Peppard!But Mr.T as B.A
is also outstanding."A_team"is not only adventure
and crime.It has also comedy and sometimes romance.
If you like "MacGyver" you are going to love "A-Team".
Also if you are fun of Robert Vaughn you must see
"A-Team" because Vaughn plays general Stockwell.
A mysterious person who is a friend and an enemy
of the four veterans. - Andy S, (anstamatopoulos@yahoo.gr)
