OUR MAN FLINT(1966):

While this is a fun movie, it's not quite the movie that I remembered
from the past! It's not got quite the punch that it should have.
There is some humor, but for the most part this really is played
pretty straight and, unfortunately, this is not as strong in that
department! Still though it has some fun, and I really like James
Coburn! B-

From IMDb.com:

I just watched this film last night and continue to be amazed
how entertaining it is. I recall watching it in the Tivoli theatre
on a Saturday, when I was a mere youth, and I recall how much
I enjoyed the film then. It is not shot in any spectacular fashion
(from a cinematographer's point of view, it is a dud….), and could
be deemed a bit "cheesy" but James Coburn steals the show.
He is an absolute riot and he clearly enjoyed this role. As spoofs
go, it is a classic and you have to watch Coburn in action. His
bantering with Lee J. Cobb is priceless; his knowledge is amazing
(ratios for bouillabaisse soup; his code; his secret weapon, etc.)
and his women perfectly non-PC and it all adds up to a virtual
cut up of the Bond genre. - gpyc

IN LIKE FLINT(1967):

As with the previous movie, this is not a comedy, it's more
of a satire! While Coburn is his usual self, the story again is
not great, tho it's not terrible either! All-in-all, this is still
a fun movie to watch, just not really a classic! It does have
one of my favorite actresses in it, Yvonne Craig(Batman[as
Batgirl], and two Elvis movies[Kissin' Cousins, It Happened
At The World's Fair] and Star Trek TOS[Marta]), tho she
was only in it briefly! B-

From IMDb.com:

James Colburn is a super genius and super spy. He aids in a
friend to help find three minutes missing while on a golf
outing with the President. Something appears to be amiss.
Colburn is a ladies man and ends up all over the world
showing his many talents. I happened to find all of the
set designs very detailed and colorful. I will be watching
it again just for the costume design, furniture design
and set designs. I love Colburn, this was nothing I expected
from him. It is light heartedly silly and comical. I will
leave all the critical reviews for someone else. I found
it goofy and entertaining and it was surprising to see
this side of Colburn. If I was a design student, artist
or interior decorator, definitely worth the watch. - Brewstie2
