YOUNG JUSTICE SEASON: 1 PART, 1 PAGE

YOUNG JUSTICE: SEASON 1, PART 1(2010):

The first 12 episodes of Young Justice!! These are really
REALLY good!!! Although there are a few flaws, they can
mostly be forgiven, if not ignored all together!!

This teams up Kid Flash, Robin, Auqualad, Superboy and
M'gann M'rezz(niece of The Martian Manhunter)!!! This
Superboy is a clone of Superman, rather than him as a
boy, or even his son!! And the way he's portrayed is more
like Clark Kent from the series Smallville!!!

DISC 1:

EPISODE 1: INDEPENDENCE DAY PARTS 1 AND 2(Nov. 26, 2010):

The sidekicks of the Justice League are tired of being
sidekicks!! So, they decide to go out and prove themselves
to their respective mentors by solving the current mystery:
a fire at a genetics lab that's under the name of Cadmus!!
This just brings up more questions, and a host of telepathic
beings!! And a clone of a very Super being!!

This was a two part episode, now shown as one!

One of the voices belongs to Rene Auberjonois(Star Trek:
Voyager)!! A

EPISODE 2: FIREWORKS(Nov. 26, 2010):

Picking up from the previous episode, Robin, Kid Flash &
Aqualad are held captive in the very, VERY deep Cadmus
facilities!! They try to talk the clone into helping them, but
instead they themselves are ending up being cloned!!

It appears that the real, main enemy here is something
or someone, or a group of someones, called "The Light"!!

Rene returns in this one!! A

EPISODE 3: WELCOME TO HAPPY HARBOR(Jan. 21, 2011):

So the group approaches Speedy to see if he'd like
to join up with them, and he says, no way!!

So while the guys are "taking it easy" they go onto
the ship that Megan has, when they get a call to
investigate an emergency at a power plant! This
brings them face to face with "Mr. Twister"!!

And here, another alum of Star Trek, John De Lancie
(Star Trek: TNG, DS9 & Voyager)!! A

EPISODE 4: DROP ZONE(Jan. 28, 2011):

WTF!!!!!!!!!! This starts out with everyone speaking Spanish!!
Not a good way to get a good rating from me!!

Anyway, the group gets sent to an island where they
are making some really powerful enhancing drugs!!
They're sent there to do some undercover work to
find out what's going on and report back to the JLA!!
Of course, they never do what they're told to do!! Enter
Bane!! A

DISC 2:

EPISODE 5: SCHOOLED(Feb. 4, 2011):

A powerful android has been defeated, and torn
apart, with the parts being shipped in separate trucks
to be kept in a place to be determined by the JLA!!
On the way, the trucks get attacked by robot monkeys
who steal the parts!! A

EPISODE 6: INFILTRATOR(Feb. 11, 2011):

Speedy(now calling himself The Red Arrow) rescues a
scientist from the League Of Shadows, but unfortunately
he leaves behind the experiment that she was working
on!!!! The team goes in to retrieve it!! And it looks like
the new team member isn't all she's cracked up to be!! A

EPISODE 7: DENIAL(Feb. 18, 2011):

Dr. Fate(The Justice Society of America) has been spirited
away, and Tornado asks the team to locate him!!

Guest starring Ed Asner(The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Lou
Grant)! A

EPISODE 8: DOWNTIME(Mar. 4, 2011):

Batman gives Aqualad an ultimatum, so he goes back to
the sea to "find himself"!! While there, there is an attack
on Argo City, and Aquaman has been called away on a
mission with the JLA, leaving the younger generation to
take up the battle!! A

DISC 3:

EPISODE 9: BEREFT(Mar. 11, 2011):

The team all wake up in the desert not knowing why
they are there or remembering the rest of the team!!
It's all centered around an assignment from Batman!
More excitement from "The Light", and a dude named
Psyman, and a dudette called Queen Bee!!

Guest starring in this, another alum from Star Trek,
Marina Sirtis(Star Trek: TNG)!! A

EPISODE 10: TARGETS(Sept. 16, 2011):

This one's a bit weird, two countries at odds with each
other and are in peace talks, which are not going
well!! So, they bring in an arbitrator: Lex Luthor!!! Speedy
(now Red Arrow), is there and just in time stops an attack
on Luthor by the League of Shadows, Jade Nguyan
specifically!! Oh, and Superboy & M'gann go to school!!
Eventually Red needs help and pulls in the group!! A

EPISODE 11: TERRORS(Sept. 23, 2011):

Superboy and M'gann go undercover in a prison where
the 4 freeze villains from the first episode are being
kept, along with a bunch of others, including The Riddler
and The Joker(whom we never see)!! And again, this brings
up the group "The Light"!! A

EPISODE 12: HOMEFRONT(Sept. 30, 2011):

This shows a crack of where/who Artimis really is!! But
the real story is about her and Robin being caught in
the cave alone when it's attacked!!

This really leaves things hanging until the next disc set!! A

From an IMDb.com customer

I watch animated superhero shows on Saturday morning
to satisfy the inner child in me and my favorites so far were
Batman TAS and Justice League. But this show blew me
away, probably because my expectations were so low
about a show revolving around the sidekicks. But it quickly
establishes that the stakes are high and it finds a good
way to integrate the story and the characters into the DC
universe. The stories are complex, the characters fleshed
out and it finds an almost perfect balance between action,
story and characters. It's not about wanna-be heroes but
heroes in the making. Taking season 1 alone I would give
it 10 out of 10 and maybe even call it the best animated
show in the DC universe, but unfortunately TV business
intervened. The show didn't hit the intended demographics
(too many girls were watching - which just demonstrates
how ridiculously archaic the TV and advertisement business
really is) - anyway this led to the tinkering of the 2nd season's
setting and the premature cancellation. The quality of season
2 is still high, but you can never shake the feeling that they
abandoned a great show and made too many compromises
to cater to a specific audience. - tmf084
