THE BATMAN TV SERIES SEASON FIVE(2004) PAGE

THE BATMAN TV SERIES SEASON FIVE(2004):

The first set that is in airing order!!

The last season of this series!!

This is more of a Justice League Of America preview than just
the final Batman season!! Still, pretty good season over all!!

DISC 1:

EPISODE 1: THE BATMAN/SUPERMAN STORY PART 1(Sept. 22, 2007):

First showing of Superman in this series!! Metallo shows up too!
This really de-humanizes Batman again!! But I always enjoyed the
stories in World's Finest comics that teamed the two up, so I'm hoping
for the best!! We also get Lois Lane & Jimmy Olsen! And of course Lex
Luthor is here, too and the mastermind behind Metallo showing up
in Gotham!! And as a last little surprise, we have The Black Mask,
Clayface, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy and Bane!!

Louis Gossett Jr. is here again, along with Dana Delany(Body Of Proof)
as Lois Lane!! A

EPISODE 2: THE BATMAN/SUPERMAN STORY PART 2(Sept. 29, 2007):

The conclusion to the last episode, this is actually pretty good!!
Gone are all the super villains, and the only baddie left is Lex
Luthor! But he's plenty for both Batman and Superman, not to
mention Robin, who plays a pretty good part in all of the goings
on here!! This is quite good!! A

EPISODE 3: VERTIGO(Oct. 6, 2007):

Green Arrow here!!! He shows up to tell Bruce Wayne that "He's
making kids sick!!" Hmmmm, what's really up? The real culprit is
a dude calling himself Count Vertigo! And he's doing something
that's making people sick!! Especially kids!!

This shows the origin of The Green Arrow, that is until the TV
series The Arrow re-wrote the origin story!! A team-up of two
of not just DCs, but all of comics most believable "super-heroes",
which I also give to Daredevil!! A

EPISODE 4: WHITE HEAT(Oct. 13, 2007):

Firefly returns! Only here they're calling him Bumblebee!!!!
Here we see him robbing a university and winding up with
a new partner!! And new powers, as an accident turns him
into Phosphorus!! This one digresses a bit!! B

EPISODE 5: A MIRROR DARKLY(Nov. 3, 2007):

A Batman wannabe shows up in Gotham to, well, I don't know
what his plan was!! Then the Flash starts a crime spree of his
own!! Turns out they are both mirror images of our heroes!!
And Mirror Master is the one behind it all!!

Guest starring here is John Larroquette(Night Court, Boston Legal,
The Practice, The Librarians) and Charlie Schlatter(Diagnosis Murder)! A

EPISODE 6: JOKER EXPRESS(Nov. 10, 2007):

The Joker is back again(Surprise)!! And he appears to have everyone
in Gotham working for him!! B+

EPISODE 7: RING TOSS(Dec. 8, 2007):

Green Lantern shows up, and he's needing help against Sinestro!
Sinestro clobbers GL, and GL sends out his ring to find Bruce Wayne,
but it ends up in the hands of The Penguin!!

Guest starring here is Miguel Ferrer(son of Jose & Rosemary Clooney,
Iron Man 3, Robo Cop, Star Trek III: The Search For Spock)!! B

DISC 2:

EPISODE 8: THE METAL FACE OF COMEDY(Dec. 15, 2007):

Back to the Joker!! And Nightwing! Joker turns himself into a computer
generated criminal, and Nightwing has to stop him!! This one's
pretty dumb!!

Jerry O'Connell returns here!! B-

EPISODE 9: ATTACK OF THE TERRIBLE TRIO(Feb. 2, 2008):

And here we have another returnie from the Batman: TAS show,
the Terrible Trio!! Nearly to the letter!! Three overly rich, overly bored
kids decide to spice up their lives by dressing up like animals and
pulling off different crimes based on their kind of animals!! Only this
time their using some kind of drugs to change their shapes!! And
they're using the Man-Bat formula to do it!! B+

EPISODE 10: THE END OF THE BATMAN(Feb. 9, 2008):

With several of the main villains here, the main focus is on another
duo, who appear to be dressed up like heroes, but are really out to
cause trouble for Batman and Robin!! And they turn out to be friends
of Bruce and Dick's!!

Returning here is Ron Perlman!!!! A

EPISODE 11: WHAT GOES UP(Feb. 16, 2008):

Another Black Mask episode, and another one that's pretty dumb!!
Although it does have another of the JLA in it, Hawkman, who is there
to help Batman with his battle again the Black Mask and Shadow
Thief! B

EPISODE 12: LOST HEROES PART 1(Feb. 23, 2008):

This starts out with Batman and Superman battling Toyman!
Not exactly the same Toyman from the comics, but Toyman
non-the-less! And in the battle, all of a sudden Superman disappears!
Also here is The Flash, Green Arrow, Mirror Master, Martian Manhunter
and Green Lantern! And they all keep disappearing one at a time!

The stupid "Joining" is back, as is Victor Strange!

John Larroquette and Charlie Schlater return!! B+

EPISODE 13: LOST HEROES PART 2(Mar. 8, 2008):

The conclusion of not only the last episode, but of the entire
series! With all the "Super" super heroes now without their powers,
it comes down to Batman and Robin to save the world!! B+

From an IMDb.com customer

This is one of my all time favorite cartoon shows.
The two elements that made up the show had plenty
of action and just enough violence to keep you
interested. And even though it was violent, I still
turned out to be a normal adult and not a psychotic
killer. Too bad that parents groups thought that it
was too violent, or my generation would have been
spared such shows as Shazam, Isis and Super
Friends. - Brian Washington (Sargebri@att.net
