BATMAN - THE NEW ADVENTURES OF TV SERIES(1977) PAGE

BATMAN - THE NEW ADVENTURES OF TV SERIES(1977):

The complete 1977 animated tv series of Batman!
This stars the great talents of Adam West and Burt
Ward, reprising their roles from the 1966-68 series!!
Unknown why they didn't also have the wonderful
Yvonne Craig return as The Batgirl!! Woulda been
cool!!

Also on this disc is a special feature entitled "The
Dark Knight Revisited"! A fun watch!

The real unfortunate part of this series was that
they chose to dumb it down by including the
ridiculous Batmite!! A terrible choice, as he really
detracts from the whole series!!!

DISC 1:

EPISODE 1: THE PEST:

Batman and Robin fighting(?) The Joker who's
out to steal an important invention, while also
trying to deal with the stupid Bat-Mite!! C+

EPISODE 2: THE MOONMAN:

This one has the Dynamic Duo up against "The Moon
Man" who is Hell bent on stealing all the artifacts
taken by astronauts from the moon! They are also
dealing with one of said astronauts who happens
to be visiting them at the time! A lot of Batgirl
in this one!! B

EPISODE 3: TROUBLE IDENTITY:

Another episode featuring Batgirl!! She has been
framed by Catwoman for stealing an invention! B

EPISODE 4: A SWEET JOKE ON GOTHAM CITY:

This is quite a bit offbeat!! An overweight dude
and his candy obsessed cronies have changed
the water in Gotham to chocolate!! B-

EPISODE 5: THE BERMUDA RECTANGLE:

Batman and Robin(along with Batgirl and Bat-mite)
battle a new fiend(Professor Bubbles) who's capturing
ships that have parts to a ray gun! B-

EPISODE 6: BITE-SIZED:

An extra-terrestrial named Electon is needing Batman
and Robin to pull an espionage caper for him, and
proceeds to shrink them down, then hypnotize them
into doing his bidding!! B

EPISODE 7: READING, WRITING & WRONGING:

The Penguin is running a school for baddies and
Batman and crew must stop them all!! C+

EPISODE 8: THE CHAMELEON:

In this we have a dude who can change himself into
just about anything, and he's using this power for
evil!! (Surprise!!)!! B-

DISC 2:

EPISODE 9: HE WHO LAUGHS LAST:

The Joker breaks out of prison and promises
revenge on those who sent him there, Batman!! B

EPISODE 10: THE DEEP FREEZE:

Batman and Robin go up against Mr. Freeze and
his henchman, Dr. Frost, who has invented a, what
else, freeze gun!! They use it to freeze Gotham
Harbor, and demand ransom money to thaw it out!! B-

EPISODE 11: DEAD RINGERS:

Clayface and a new helper, a circus flying trapeze
specialist, disguise themselves as Batman and
Robin and kidnap an important diplomat, and
it's up to Batman and Robin to clear their names! B

EPISODE 12: CURSES! OILED AGAIN!:

The three heroes and the idiot battle Catwoman
and Clayface as they are stealing all the oil
in town! B

EPISODE 13: BIRD OF A FEATHER FOOL AROUND TOGETHER:

There's a power struggle in the crime syndicate
between The Penguin and The Joker, and Penguin
says that he's going to turn Batman and Robin into
criminals to prove that he should be the new leader!! B

EPISODE 14: HAVE AN EVIL DAY PT. 1:

A dude from outer space(Zarbor), comes to Earth
to steal all the atomic power plants in Gotham
City so he can rule his world, which happens to
be the same one that Bat-Mite is from!! He enlists
the help of the big four evil doers(The Penguin,
The Joker, Catwoman and Clayface) of Gotham
to help him, along with capturing Batman and
Robin!! B

EPISODE 15: HAVE AN EVIL DAY PT. 2:

Now on Zarbor's and Bat-Mite's planet, it now
is up to the other heroes to save Batman and
Robin!! B

EPISODE 16: THIS LOOKS LIKE A JOB FOR BAT-MITE!:

Zarbor escapes from his cell and vows revenge
on Batman and Robin!! B-

From an IMDb.com customer

for me,this is not a good TV show, animated or
otherwise.it is however, annoying to the nth
degree.there are a few reasons for this,in no
particular order.first, the intro of one of the
most pointless,and annoying characters ever,
Batmite.this character serves no purpose for
the show, whatsoever.maybe it is intended as
comic relief, but it doesn't work out that way.
next up,the Joker.i thought it was really
ridiculous to have his character let loose with
that ridiculous laugh after almost every
sentence.talk about repetitive.this gets old
really fast..also don't think the had the right
actor to voice the character.it just doesn't
sound at all like the joker should sound.lastly,
they made Robin look like a complete dork.
other than these problems, the show isn't
that bad.but these are big enough problems
to drastically lower the likability factor.for
me,"The new adventures Of Batman" is a
3/10,at best. - disdressed12
